Irma Reyes

Irma Reyes is the Executive Director at the Mexican American Legislative Caucus (MALC). Irma has worked in Texas politics for more than 13 years focusing on legislative policy, advocacy, organizing, political campaigns, and ethics compliance. Irma began her career at the Texas Legislature in 2010 and now has seven sessions of legislative experience as well as five cycles of campaign experience including presidential, gubernatorial, statewide, congressional, and judicial campaigns. Most recently, Irma was instrumental in organizing the 2021 Quorum Break by Democratic legislators and was the Political Director for the Beto O’Rourke 2022 gubernatorial campaign.

Prior to joining MALC in 2018, Irma served as the Executive Director of the Texas Association of Consumer Lawyers and oversaw five political action committees and one Super PAC. Irma was born and raised in Eagle Pass, Texas and attended the University of Texas at Austin.
